There are times when a married couple may feel it is appropriate to express and renew their love and commitment to each other, even after many years in a happy and loving marriage. Reaffirmation or Renewal of Vows ceremonies are meaningful and full of warmth and feeling.

O ther couples have felt the need for such a ceremony on occasions when their original wedding ceremony, for one reason or another, was meaningless to them. Maybe their marriage was held overseas or interstate and family and friends were not able to be present to witness the occasion.

There are times when couples have been separated, due to varying circumstances, and have since been seriously reunited.

They view this type of ceremony as an opportunity to commit to a fresh, new start together.

Another very common reason for a couple considering renewing their vows is to reaffirm their marriage on the occasion of a wedding anniversary.

What ever the reason, Reaffirmation or Renewal of Vows ceremonies are meaningful and full of warmth and feeling. They are arranged exactly the same as a wedding ceremony with the only difference being that a renewal ceremony is not a legally binding ceremony. It is made quite clear during the ceremony that the Renewal of Vows ceremony is not a wedding.
